Steven and Sofina’s wedding at Sentul Pavilion was an elegant display of modern Chinese aesthetics, blending tradition with contemporary design that was beautifully reinterpreted to suit the modern-day couple.. Their wedding was not only a celebration but also a testament to their shared appreciation for heritage and modern sophistication.

The wedding’s decor featured soft pastel palette enhanced by vibrant red and floral accents. The use of mint green as a primary colour throughout the venue created a serene and contemporary atmosphere, while the pops of bold red brought in elements of Chinese tradition, symbolising luck and prosperity.

Centerstage was an exquisite backdrop featuring a pagoda-inspired arch adorned with cascading florals, blending shades of orange, pink, and yellow. Red lanterns hung elegantly, adding a festive touch while honoring the couple’s cultural roots. The use of natural elements—huge lotus leaves, bamboo, and floral arrangements — created a garden-like setting within the pavilion’s glass walls. A clever interplay between indoor and outdoor elements added a magical dimension to the reception.

Attention to detail extended even to the cocktails. The bar served a selection of signature cocktails that matched the colour palette. Drinks featuring carefully curated ingredients, decorated with delicate garnishes were presented in elegant glassware. The tablescapes were further elevated with chrysanthemum-inspired pearlescent charger plates, 3D menu cards with Mandarin motifs, vibrant local fruits and florals all worked together to create a cohesive and immersive dining for guests. Each detail added to the feeling of luxury and thoughtfulness.

One of the unique touches of the day was the interactive door gift section. Guests were invited to create their own custom potpourri sachets, selecting from a beautifully arranged assortment of dried flowers and herbs that were carefully labeled. In addition to the potpourri station, guests also enjoyed custom caricature and Chinese name art drawings. Both of these interactive experiences provided guests with keepsakes that captured the cultural depth of the event.
