Kee and Choy Yin’s wedding was more than a celebration — it was the culmination of a 20-year journey rooted in patience, commitment, and an enduring bond. Having first fallen in love in 2004, they navigated ten years of long-distance love between the United Kingdom and Malaysia. Along the way, they built a beautiful family with three children. Under the theme #FinallyALittleWed, they brought together fewer than twenty of their closest family and friends to celebrate their 20 year milestone.

Staying true to the relaxed farm setting, both bride and groom wore classic white Superga sneakers — a playful, practical nod to comfort and personal style. For the Chinese tea ceremony, Choy Yin chose a romantic long-sleeve lace two-piece dress. Later, she switched to a softer, earth-toned flowy dress that captured the laid-back spirit of the hilltop farm. She wore her hair up, adorned with sprigs of greenery, and carried a bouquet she crafted herself alongside her sister — a detail imbued with sentimental value.

The chosen venue is a rustic farm to table restaurant with raw timber beams and panoramic views of lush greenery. Fresh fruits and vegetables were artfully arranged in wooden crates, from corn and carrots to trailing long beans and clusters of tomatoes, every arrangement highlighted the farm-to-table charm. Guests wore earthy tones in shades of soft beige, warm browns, and muted greens, blending harmoniously into the serene surroundings.

Hearty, freshly prepared dishes were served family-style, keeping the meal intimate and communal. The cake — a delicate sponge crowned with a bounty of fresh berries — carried the same rustic, handmade feel. Every aspect of the celebration reflected Kee and Choy Yin’s shared values: handmade door gifts, a cosy kids’ corner for their little ones and personally designed invitation cards.

When asked about their thought process regarding wedding planning: the couple shared that their approach was to “keep things simple, heartfelt, celebrating true connection, good food, with those who matter most”.
