There’s always the risk of rain when it comes to an outdoor garden wedding, but the risk also pays off – there will be gratitude if the weather complies, and you learn to smile through the hard times if it doesn’t.
For this couple’s lovely nuptials, they got rain before Mother Nature finally blessed them with clear skies, and the joy on their special day was palpable. The powder blue theme with hints of blush and gold perfectly complemented the lush greens of the garden, with added decorative pops of baby’s breath. Many thanks to MunKeat Photography for capturing these beautifully sweet photos.
Rebecca: “The rain was pouring right before our garden reception. Despite that, everyone around us – our family, friends, decorators, florists, photographers, videographers and hotel staff were working really hard in the rain to set up the venue and going all out to make our wedding reception happen. So you can imagine the joy we felt when the rain finally stopped just in time for us to walk down the aisle and exchange our vows. We felt immensely blessed, but more so for having these wonderful people around us to witness our matrimony.
“A few years ago, we attended a friend’s wedding at this venue. As soon as I saw the beautiful lush garden by the lake, I fell in love with it and mentioned how I would love for us to be married here. Since then, Chiang Seng has worked hard to make my dream come true. Our colour theme was powder blue, with hints of blush pink and a touch of gold. Blue is our favourite colour.”
Tips from the bride: “Remember, this is the day to celebrate your love. So don’t get overwhelmed by the small details. I can assure you many things will go wrong on the day of the wedding, but it won’t really matter because at the end of the day, you’re getting married to the one you love. Just have fun, both during the planning and on the day itself!”
