The couple first envisioned a grand wedding in Malaysia, surrounded by hundreds of guests. But as planning unfolded, their focus shifted toward intimacy—celebrating with only their closest loved ones. That pivot led them far from Asia, to Venice, where the Aman Venice, a 16th-century palazzo along the Grand Canal, became the heart of their story. Its gilded ceilings, frescoes, and Rococo interiors offered not just a venue, but a living piece of history.

Over four days, events unfolded like chapters in a Venetian romance. Guests arrived by boat along the Grand Canal, a welcome dinner set the tone, and the courtyard ceremony led to a grand reception dinner under glittering chandeliers. Laughter and heartfelt speeches filled the hall, while a “royal portrait” family shoot became one of the most meaningful moments of the celebration.

In a city already rich with beauty, Daphne of THE LAFS WEDDING’s vision was one of quiet luxury from start to finish. For the ceremony and reception, long banquet tables glowed under chandeliers, lined with rows of candlelight and striking blue hydrangeas. Outdoors, floral arches in shades of indigo, powder blue, and ivory framed the ceremony space, bold yet refined against the palazzo courtyard. The palette—ivory, blue, and gold—struck a balance between opulence and restraint.

The bride’s ceremony gown—a satin ballgown with a fitted lace bodice and long sleeves—evoked regal sophistication, paired with a cathedral-length veil. For the reception, she changed into a backless lace gown with a tulle skirt, its shimmer catching the glow of crystal chandeliers. The groom’s custom Dior tuxedo delivered sharp, understated elegance.

This wedding was a year in the making, with challenges unique to Venice’s canals and summer weather. Yet what made it unforgettable was the trust and bond built with the couple and their families. For Daphne of THE LAFS WEDDING, it was not only a flawless celebration but also a reminder of how weddings are about legacy, love, and lived experience.
