Arthur and Casandra’s first crossed path during a joyous celebration of their close friends’ engagement in December 2018. A connection was made, and they continued fanning the flames despite the long distance; Arthur who is based in Melbourne and Casandra in Malaysia. Not too long after, Arthur made an impromptu visit to Malaysia which solidified their feelings for each other, and they soon realised what they had was something truly special.

Opting for an intimate celebration in a picturesque destination, they embarked on the exciting journey of planning their dream wedding. Langkawi, with its captivating beauty and tranquil atmosphere, was the ideal location they envisioned. Among the array of enchanting venues, it was Kayu Puti at The St. Regis that truly captured their hearts. Featuring a distinctive interior and an inviting outdoor deck, Kayu Puti offered a seamless flow from the ceremony to the dinner reception. The venue’s standalone nature ensured privacy, while the deck’s hammocks provided a serene spot for guests to bask in the sunset’s golden glow.

The couple embraced a jewel tone theme. Vibrant colours adorned the decor, tablescapes, and guests’ attire, standing out against the pristine white backdrop of Kayu Puti. The emaculately decorated room created a captivating and cosy ambiance with rich hues.

Their wedding day marked not only the celebration of their love but also a heartfelt reunion with family and friends. After enduring 21 months of physical separation due to the pandemic, their wedding became a testament to their enduring love and the triumph of their commitment.

Their wedding became truly personal when they surprised their guests with the first dance. Dance had always been a shared passion, and Arthur, a former professional Latin dancer, choreographed a routine to a cover of Jay Chou’s “Mojito”. The dance brought everyone together for a memorable and joyous moment.

Arthur and Casandra recommends, “Remember that it is your special day, and prfioritize what truly matters to you as a couple. On the day itself, let go of stress and immerse yourselves in the joy of the moment, as time flies by swiftly.”
