You can’t go wrong with glittery elegance set against the soft hues of nude and blush pink. Add to that clear blue skies, soft white sand and an ocean breeze, and you’ve got the perfect intimate beach wedding. From the sweet floral wedding altar to the pink and white parasol props, this couple tied the knot in a wonderfully classic wedding celebration, surrounded by family and friends. Many thanks to WeFreeze Photography for this stunning set of photographs.
Cherlyn: “One of the most memorable moments during my wedding was when my dad walked me down the aisle. I remember we were both waiting for the cue to march in, and I began to have butterflies in my stomach. As my father-in-law played the ‘Bridal March’, my dad tucked my hand in his arm and patted me gently to comfort me. His act of assurance reminded me that even though I was about to marry the love of my life, he would still be there for me whenever I needed him. At the same time, I felt like the luckiest girl to have these three men in my life.
“Charlie and I were looking to have an intimate wedding, so naturally, a destination wedding became our choice. As we’ve always fancied the idea of spending quality time with our guests in a relaxed atmosphere, we began searching for beautiful resorts. We finally decided on a beach wedding ceremony at Four Seasons Langkawi, followed by a three course Italian dinner at one of their restaurants. We were really pleased with our decision because everything turned out perfectly: the weather was lovely, our guests watched us exchange our vows on the scenic beach, and we managed to take pictures with everyone before adjourning for dinner. The rest of the night was spent eating, toasting and just having fun with our guests. Everything was casual yet memorable.
“For our colours, I had a vision of nude, blush pink and gold for our wedding. Especially for the bridesmaids, I wanted them to have something special, so I thought, why not glittery dresses? And they turned out gorgeous! For the groomsmen, I wanted them to be in formal three-piece suits because I’ve always loved that sleek and stylish look. We also chose gold bow ties to complement their black attire, because you can’t go wrong with that classic combination, right?”
Tips from the bride: “Togetherness: a wedding is when two become one. So plan your wedding with him/her as one, do it as one, and enjoy it as one. Secondly, don’t over commit to tasks on your big day. It’s your big day! Get someone who can be relied upon to handle and coordinate the day. Don’t worry about having the perfect day! You will look beautiful no matter what if you smile, and as your wedding day should be one of the most wonderful days of your life, you will look stunning! Happy planning!”
