Raffles Hotel has undeniably one of the most beautiful hotel courtyards in Singapore. A picture perfect outdoor space for a wedding ceremony, it’s testament to how a beautiful venue can make even the simplest weddings lovely. Thanks, One Eye Click, for sharing this with us.
Jieying: “The ceremony and wedding reception were my favourite parts of the wedding. Promising to spend the rest of our lives loving and respecting each other was a significant moment for us. As ours was a small dinner reception, we had the opportunity to mingle and spend time with all our guests, celebrating our big day with them. The most unforgettable part of the reception: when our maid of honour performed a rap (to ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’) for her speech!
“We knew that we wanted an intimate wedding from the start; no big Chinese weddings for us. The Raffles Hotel’s East India room provided just that – an intimate space with a beautiful outdoor courtyard for our wedding ceremony and cocktails. Since grey was one of my favourites, I matched it with yellow to add some colour. The grey and yellow theme resonated in the décor, wedding party attire and invitations!”
Tips from the bride: “Plan early, be mindful of the nitty-gritty details, and most of all, enjoy the day to the fullest! Instead of opting for a standard decoration theme, check if the hotel is able to tweak their décor according to your style.”
