Curtis and Jmie’s started dating in 2018. The couple officially tied the knot during the global pandemic, they then celebrated the birth of their daughter and finally fulfilled their dream of exchanging vows in an intimate, picturesque setting. Inspired by the Netflix series “Crash Landing on You,” they envisioned a wedding amidst breathtaking scenery, ultimately choosing Lucerne, Switzerland, for its stunning landscapes.
For their special day, Jmie donned a custom-made gown by 23 Wedding Luxe. The dress paid homage to the 1800’s regency era, but with a modern twist; featuring an inner lace top and an off-shoulder full bustier skirt with slits. To complement her ensemble, their daughter wore a matching dress, creating a heartwarming mother-daughter duo. Curtis himself looked dapper in a classic navy blue suit, completing their chic and coordinated appearance.
The wedding took place along the verdant slopes of Hotel Villa Honegg, against the backdrop of Switzerland’s stunning mountains and Lake Lucerne. The minimalist outdoor setup allowed the landscape to shine, with a simple yet elegant floral arch framing the couple as they exchanged their vows. The overall theme was a blend of elegance and simplicity, reflecting the couple’s desire for an intimate and personal celebration.
Planning a wedding in a foreign country came with its set of challenges. Curtis and Jmie faced numerous obstacles, from coordinating logistics to last-minute changes. When their initial wedding planner had to cancel 2 weeks before the set date, plans were looking like they were about to fold. Thankfully, the couple found Amalia, of Sunrise Experiences, who stepped in, took over, ensuring that every detail was meticulously managed.
On the wedding day, the couple enjoyed a serene and beautiful ceremony amidst a peaceful setting. Only the surrounding mountains and a few lucky souls stood as silent witnesses to their declaration of love, along with their daughter, adding a touch of family warmth to the occasion.

Planning from afar can be daunting, but with the right team, anything is possible.
