Today we will share with you White Collection by Indonesian couture designer Tex Saverio, a young, talented designer who has dressed celebrities like Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian. Lady Gaga even called him the ‘McQueen of Indonesia’. He’s also the man behind Katniss’ wedding dress in ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’.
Tex Saverio: “Basically I would not say that this is my wedding collection. The theme is white, so I called it White Collection. I want brides to feel like the dresses are a part of them in their very special moment. I want them to feel the emotion, the feeling of togetherness; these are the dresses that they’ve been dreaming of.
“I wanted to create a collection of classic wedding dresses with a modern twist. I call it ‘young couture’, lightweight versions of my usual collection. So many details and techniques were used in this collection. It’s a challenge for me to create using complicated techniques while making it look effortless. I want the drama of couture, yet for it to seem effortless and young.”
