High ceilings and wooden decorative elements make for a perfect rustic vintage wedding, what more if some of the wooden details were actually crafted by the groom himself?

This couple chose to personalise their wedding in a very special way, and complementing their wooden décor was a gorgeous colour palette of dusty blue and soft pastel pink, all brought together with touches of gold. Many thanks to hellojanelee Photography for capturing these wonderful moments – from the joy and laughter right down to the amazing décor! Don’t forget to play the beautiful video from Motion in Style.

Grace: “The décor turned out amazing at our tea ceremony at Enderong House in the morning, and also during our reception in the evening. It was better than we had expected, and with all the hard work and effort we had put in throughout the year, we felt so happy everything turned out well.

“The most memorable moment was when we did our first look before the garden ceremony. When Kenny turned around, his eyes were red and we were both so emotional – that moment was amazing and I would recommend that every couple do a first look!

“Unlike most who say that their wedding was a blur, for us, almost everything was clear and memorable. The best was we got to enjoy every bit of our wedding. We felt so blessed and lucky on that day because everything seemed close to perfect – we were on time, there were minimal hiccups, and even the weather was on our side. It had been pouring the whole week and we were so worried we wouldn’t be able to do our garden ceremony. It was cloudy the whole day – drizzling in the afternoon but it stopped just before evening, so the weather was just nice!”

Tips from the bride: “Start early if you don’t want to spend the extra money and feel the extra stress. Have a very clear idea of what you want. We wanted all our friends to enjoy the wedding, so we decided to get our decorator to be our wedding planner as well, and it helped to ease a lot of our workload.

“One very important tip we learned at the TWN Wedding 101 Workshop at Le Meridien besides budgeting, sorting our guest list, etc., is you don’t have to do everything on your wish list – if you don’t have time, you can always omit some stuff. This definitely minimised the bridezilla moments and Kenny was thankful for that.

“I personally am a fan of The Wedding Notebook! I also followed a lot of wedding Instagram accounts for inspiration. I like to watch wedding videos from the Philippines – the Filipinos are so sentimental; their weddings are always so full of emotion! Like Jason Magbanua, Bob Nicolas and Ian Cruz – that’s where I got inspiration for the door décor for my wedding procession.”
