You’d be hard pressed to find a soul who didn’t think Tanarimba to be a marvellous wedding venue. Like many others, this couple had been to Tanarimba on prior occasions, and knew in their hearts that this would be the place where they would someday say their vows to each other. Thank you for these captivating shots, MunKeat Photography!

The oaken hall, surrounded by tall pine trees and a placid lake, has such a natural charm that you need only minimal décor to liven up the place. Paying tribute to the bride’s love for stargazing, the couple easily decided on a celestial, starry night-themed wedding. They engaged Nam Kee Canopy Rental for icicle fairylights, which breathed a little bit of magic into the hall.

The groom, who is an architect, led the team in building a crescent moon prop and a triangular arch for the wedding photobooth. The couple’s collaborative imagination and the work of their vendors combined to bring about a spectacular scene that memorable evening: beautiful bouquets of rustic red, orange and blush hibiscus and wildflowers, a brilliant canopy of fairylights streaming down from the rafters, intricately crafted art and stationery, and other decorative elements that were telling of all around good taste.

The bride shared: “Most memorable for us was seeing each other in our wedding attire for the first time. Daniel couldn’t contain his tears of joy when he saw me walking down the aisle, just like my eyes were fixed on him. I felt very blessed to marry my best friend. We enjoyed every moment of our wedding ceremony and the preparations the day before, too. We are so thankful to have friends surround us with help. The time spent with them while preparing for the wedding was truly memorable and fun!”

Tips from the bride: “Enjoy every moment spent planning the wedding together with your fiancé. Daniel and I definitely had our fair share of wedding squabbles but we knew it shouldn’t affect our relationship. In fact, the challenges we faced helped us grow individually and as a couple. Think twice about having a ‘DIY wedding’ because you’ll need a lot of help with the preparations. And thirdly, it is so important to have a wedding coordinator on your wedding day. You have got to be hands-off from all the planning and preparations so you can enjoy yourself.”
