Flowers truly make a wedding – for many people, they represent life, new beginnings, and the celebration of love. For these nuptials, the deep red blooms, pale pink sakuras and everything in between created a beautifully lush setting under the glamorous chandeliers of the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s ballroom. K-Yin: “The most memorable moment was when I walked into the ballroom and saw the decorations set up so beautifully, exactly like how we had imagined. Walking down the aisle and exchanging vows with my husband under the magnificent cherry blossom trees were definitely like a dream come true.
“I’ve always loved flowers, especially cherry blossoms. I particularly love the cherry blossom season in Japan, and I wanted it to be a part of our wedding. It’s so romantic to be surrounded by beautiful flowers in full bloom. Nick and I fell in love with the elegant chandeliers at Grant Hyatt ballroom, and we just knew we had to have our wedding there.”
Nicholas: “One of the most memorable moments of our wedding was when we saw that everything looked just the way we had imagined it, thanks to our decoration team. Most memorable, however, was experiencing this day with my wife, and having our closest friends and family be a part of it.”
Tips from the bride: “It’s good to check out wedding websites to have an idea of what you like and don’t. Pinterest was particularly useful for inspiration. Communication is also vital for getting your ideas across to vendors, and don’t be afraid to make requests. Established and experienced vendors are more expensive but definitely worth their fees. Ours definitely made our wedding go smoothly and exactly the way we wanted it to be. Finally, it’s easy to get stressed out and panic when the big day is approaching but you should just go with the flow, relax, don’t pick on minor flaws, and just enjoy your day.”
