Bad weather is a typical concern for couples who choose to wed outdoors, and Pei Pei and Vincent didn’t get to say their vows until later on, when Pretty Little Things were able to slot it into the wedding reception. “It really meant a lot to us,” she said. Kudos to Pretty Little Things for thinking on their feet, and many thanks to Sam Leong of Fixer Photography for these brilliant photos!

Imagine hosting your wedding outside of the city in the seclusion of the hills, where a pretty little lake lies beside an oaken hall, surrounded by a tree-lined lawn. For this couple, it was the very breath of fresh air they needed after months of wedding preparation.

The bride had, after all, been dreaming of her own rustic garden-themed wedding since she was a child, and her dreams did indeed come to pass with this beautiful celebration at Tanarimba Janda Baik. “Such options are indeed limited in Kuala Lumpur. When I first saw photos of Tanarimba Janda Baik, I fell in love with it and knew this would be where I would walk down the aisle,” shared Pei Pei.

Once the venue was confirmed, the couple met with their wedding coordinator, Pretty Little Things, to discuss their décor preferences and requirements. They soon decided on white, blush and gold as the colours of the day.

Tips from the bride: “I think there are many guides and tips for brides-to-be out there so I can only share that whenever you need to make an important decision, you must communicate with each other and reach a consensus. Although it is inevitable that both of you will disagree during the discussion, it’s all worthwhile because the wedding belongs to both of you.”
