Metrophoto: “Margaux and Francis had one of the most beautiful weddings that I’ve been a part of – in fact, I wasn’t only their photographer, I was also a groomsman. Yet their wedding bucket list didn’t stop there, for part of it was to be able to shoot an incredible post-wedding session with Metrophoto in some of the most amazing places on Earth.
“To identify those places we turned to my own bucket list of places I’ve always dreamt of shooting. The then-current top 5 were Bolivia, Croatia, Iceland, Peru, and Kenya. Margaux and Francis agreed to do not just one but two of the destinations – Croatia and Iceland.
“This is why we ‘hash-tagged’ their wedding and this trip the #bucketlistwedding. These places weren’t just on Margaux and Francis’ bucket list but mine as well. For 10 days, we shot and vacationed in some of the most amazing places on Earth. Yes, we had to bring attire and equipment, but those just made the trip even more worthwhile.
“To go to these places is one thing, but to be able to go there and take Metrophoto with them, to get the most distinct, tasteful, and amazing photos as part of the entire experience – what a great way to cross something off your bucket list.
“In Old Town Dubrovnik our shoot included the infamous ‘walk of shame/atonement’ staircase in Game of Thrones, while Kotor in Montenegro, being one of the top 10 cities in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2016, is one of those places people would love to visit but just don’t know about it yet. The two-hour drive to Kotor from Dubrovnik was breathtaking.
“It doesn’t end with the photos. We also have a behind-the-scenes video where you can catch a glimpse of the amazing landscapes of Iceland. There is so much more to say, about Margaux and Francis, about Iceland, and about this unforgettable #bucketlistwedding experience, but the photos and video are more than enough.
