We love how these newlyweds changed things up – a doughnut wall instead of a floral arch, a hanging garden instead of lush tablescapes, and exchanging their vows in a little slice of forest within the city. The bride’s choice of wedding dress was on point too – chic and demure yet elegant. Thanks to Fixer Photography for capturing this beautiful set of photos!

Mandy: “The most memorable moment was the confirmation of our being officially married! And seeing our brand new in-laws embracing for the first time, my husband showing off his new bling, and all our friends having a great time – it was all part of the sweet celebration.
“I wanted my guests to feel like they were at a modern, fun wedding celebration, rather than a traditional and stiff ceremony, so we changed some things up. For the backdrop, we opted for a doughnut backdrop instead of the usual floral arch, with the puntastic saying: ‘We do w(hole)heartedly!’ For the reception, instead of having lush floral arrangements for the tablescapes, we went for a hanging garden overhead, which was suggested by our wedding planner.”
Tips from the bride: “Limit your options. Don’t swamp yourself with all the inspiration that’s out there. Once you decide on your wedding style, try to stay focused on that.”
