As one of the country’s most celebrated bridal designers, Wei Li unveiled her latest collection, “The Secret Love,” at her much-anticipated bridal fashion show on the 25th of February 2025 at W Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with Chloé. A tribute to her journey over the past eight years, the collection embraces diversity and self-expression, expanding the brand’s size range to include petite to curvy brides. “Our goal is to empower brides of all body types to feel confident and beautiful in their gowns, embracing and celebrating their individuality on this momentous occasion,” Wei Li shares.

While introducing contemporary elements such as daring cutouts and exquisite embellishments, the collection maintains a sense of timeless elegance by staying rooted in classic design principles. The careful interplay between modern trends and traditional silhouettes allows the collection to remain fresh yet enduringly sophisticated. Beyond helping brides discover their ideal bridal style with ease, the digital landscape has also transformed the way designers like Wei Li gauge trends and audience preferences. “It allows us to craft marketing strategies that resonate more deeply with brides, fostering a stronger sense of community around our brand,” she explains.

In response to the evolving perceptions of traditional wedding attire, Wei Li introduces the Sangjit design to Malaysia, offering brides more choices for their wedding ceremonies. “This exciting trend gives brides greater variety when selecting their wedding attire. We’ve seen a growing appreciation for intricate details and personalized designs, which this collection fully embraces. By offering a diverse range of styles and silhouettes, we are committed to ensuring every bride finds something that reflects her unique personality and vision for her special day,” Wei Li shares.

For those wondering where she draws her creative inspiration, Wei Li credits two key sources: music and entertainment. “For instance, traditional elements like the lion dance have significantly influenced our designs in the Sangjit collection. The rhythms and colors of these performances inspire me to envision unique concepts that bring life to our gowns. This interplay between culture and art fuels my creativity and infuses our designs with a rich storytelling quality,” she reveals.

As both the creative visionary and business leader of her brand—while also being a mother—Wei Li opens up about the challenges and joys of balancing her roles. “My passion for design drives me, while my family grounds me. I prioritize meaningful time with my children, especially during the holidays, allowing me to recharge and find inspiration,” she shares.
