Helmed by visionary sisters and co-founders, Estee and Sylvia, Love • Gown’s latest collection unveil promises to redefine bridal fashion with designs that honour heritage while embracing modern aesthetics, with a huge focus on versatility and comfort. Their story is one of passion and family’s legacy. “Designing beautiful bridal gowns has always been my dream,” Sylvia shares. Inspired by their mother, a talented tailor, the sisters embarked on their entrepreneurial journey over a decade ago, starting Love • Gown as a home-based business. Over the years, Love • Gown has grown into a well-regarded bridal label, celebrated for its craftsmanship and romantic sensibilities.

The brand introduces a Cheongsam (Qipao) Collection that pays homage to traditional Chinese and Indonesian (Sanjit) wedding garments that infuses classic Asian silhouettes with intricate Western influences. “We’ve incorporated lace, 3D floral appliqués, and embroidery into our designs, creating a harmonious fusion of styles,” Sylvia elaborates. The play between construction and delicate detailing results in a collection that feels both familiar yet new.

In keeping with Love • Gown’s philosophy of keeping versatility at the core. Many of the pieces feature transformable elements, allowing brides to personalize their look for different moments of their wedding day. Whether transitioning from a formal ceremony to a lively reception or embracing a fusion of cultures, the collection offers gowns that can be adapted effortlessly. This adaptability makes the gowns not just unique, but also practical for brides navigating multiple wedding traditions.

So, who is the Love • Gown bride? According to Sylvia, this collection is designed for women who appreciate timeless elegance and versatility. “Whether you’re a modern bride or someone who cherishes cultural heritage, this collection offers something special for everyone,” she says. More than just aesthetics, the designers prioritises comfort and wearability. With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship, the brand aims to create designs that feel as good as they look.

At the showcase, rather than being overwhelmed by a sea of white gowns, it was evident that this collection was a thoughtful exploration of tradition and modernity. A few standout designs captured this balance perfectly—so much so that they made us wish we could walk down the aisle again. However, versatility can be a double-edged sword. While transformable gowns offer endless possibilities, a clear vision is essential. In an era where brides can have their cake and eat it too, restraint becomes just as important as expression—without it, the risk of an overcomplicated or cluttered look looms large.
