What’s a wedding without flowers? We never want to find out, and especially not when the bride is a wedding florist herself! Linnette from Floral Magic knew right off the bat that she wanted lots of flowers, but what truly made her day special was getting to say “I do” to the love of her life, and seeing her family and friends come together for the celebration. Linnette: “There were so many memorable moments! Both of us catching each other’s eyes at the end of the aisle, my niece hijacking my sister’s speech with a song because she wanted to perform, and everyone having a bit too much to drink! Having a pre-wedding and post-wedding photoshoot was really fun too.
“We didn’t have a wedding theme, and made our decisions based on what best reflected us as a couple. Besides the flowers, we also DIY-ed our invites and envelopes, and had temporary tattoos on each table as favours. Raffles Hotel was the first wedding venue we got in touch with, and as they say, the rest is history.”
Tips from the bride: “The best tip we can offer anyone is to choose vendors whom you can trust. It’s easy to underestimate how nervous you will be on your wedding day, so having an A-team is really handy. Know what you want before thinking of what you want. I’ve been in the wedding industry for eight years and helped many couples with their dream weddings. So much inspiration comes to me on a daily basis, and I’m always on Instagram or Pinterest! If Monica from ‘Friends’ had a Pinterest board, I think the way I categorise my boards would make her proud.”
