Alexa: “It’s difficult to name just one memorable moment as the whole day was extraordinary. From getting ready in the hotel room, arriving in the boat, the ceremony, the pictures on the lake, the dinner, the dance… it was such a wonderful day.
“We wanted a timeless wedding that when we looked back on 20 years from now, would still be classic and not dated. Hence we wanted the wedding to be rustic. We chose yellow as the colour theme as it suited a summer wedding and our venue and its surroundings. When we were looking for favours, we wanted something to reflect us as a couple, i.e. something simple but nice, unique and sweet.”
Tips from the bride: “I would recommend taking the time to think about what you want for the wedding (venue, ambience, themes, etc.) as a couple. Wedding planning can be a stressful process but it should also be enjoyable, because it’s something you and your partner are creating together that will be remembered for the rest of your life. Don’t rush into decisions, and do it for yourselves.”
