The groom shared: “As the one who made the call to wait out the rain, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief when the sun came out. I could very well have ruined what should have been one of the happiest days of our lives! But even so, I’d say the rain brought us the most remarkable memories.”
The couple’s choice of The Andaman Langkawi satisfied their desire for a beach wedding, and didn’t favour one side of the family over the other. They spent a weekend there to check it out, and fell in love with everything the resort had to offer – from friendly staff to incredible facilities and breathtaking views.
We were impressed to learn how the events coordinator from The Andaman managed to put two rather contrasting themes together. The bride wanted a bohemian style, while her groom wanted something more traditional and classic. It wasn’t the easiest compromise to strike, but the resort executed the fusion of ideas flawlessly. The white and gold themed ceremony and reception featured vibrant festivities during the day, and an elegant, sophisticated soiree at night.
Tips from the groom: “Buy wedding invitations online, and in bulk. We bought laser cut envelopes from an online bulk supplier and designed the invitations ourselves. These things take time, so make sure you allow a good few weeks to try different designs and ideas. Get guests’ dietary requirements early, and be nice to your organisers and venue staff. They really are trying to help, and they are not mind readers. Work with them instead of butting heads. Ultimately, I couldn’t recommend anyone more than our wedding and events planner at The Andaman Langkawi.”
