Here in Malaysia, we long for outdoor soirees, but have to contend with the humidity and heat. Because sunlight always makes for much better photos, glasshouses are the next best thing for bringing the outdoors inside. Together with Le Méridian Kuala Lumpur, The Wedding Notebook created the dreamy romance of a Tuscan garden wedding in their glasshouse by the pool, complete with a breezy brunch. You really can’t go wrong with a classic green and white theme. Currently keeping this trend fresh and chic is the use of herbs like rosemary and sage, as well as olive branches and eucalyptus. The use of wooden elements such as picnic tables and chopping boards in lieu of plates further added to the Italian “trattoria” ambience. For the finishing touches, Bravo Events & Entertainment incorporated a naked wedding cake, white wooden chairs and plenty of flowers.
The beautiful spread was conceptualised by none other than the Executive Chef of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, Antoine Rodriguez. In addition to a generous cheese board displaying 20 different types of cheeses served with fresh figs, nuts, honey, dried fruits, grapes, olives and bread, the extensive feast also featured Pain de Campagne (country-style bread), small bites, a rotisserie with some sides, and finally, dessert. Everything was placed on a sharing table that allowed for a more communal setting, encouraging guests to mingle and take in all the various details of a Tuscan garden wedding.
