Alia Bastamam 2015 Bridal Collection

Alia Bastamam’s new bridal collection might be a little different from her usual minimalist style, but as always, it still took our breath away. Inspired by the 1935 silent dance film ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Bastamam’s latest gowns are light and youthful with a slightly whimsical feel, in a beautiful palette of white with shadows of dusty pink and champagne. “You finally get to be the princess you’ve always wanted to be,” explains Bastamam. “That’s why I decided to have a fairytale back story and make the collection ethereal – it’s definitely a bit more extravagant than usual.” Hand-sewn embellishments add sparkle and a hint of bohemian charm, while elements such as the clean round neckline, cropped top and signature wrap keep the styles modern and sophisticated.
