In the 1930s, the dawn of colour photography, British photographer Madame Yevonde created a series of portraits of society ladies dressed in the classical costumes of mythological heroines such as Helen of Troy, Persephone and Venus. Today, inspired by those photos, Jenny Packham’s Spring 2015 Bridal Collection is soft, romantic and ultra feminine, beautifully crafted with sumptuous silk chiffon and ethereal tulle. Celestial capes, whimsical tiered hemlines and exquisite veils add a romantic, mythical affection to the pieces, which combine soft buttermilks and warm blush caramels with the traditional, classic ivory.
