Time and again we have been delighted by new takes on the city – in this case, the chic side of Chinatown Kuala Lumpur. The photos in this iconic tailor shop carry special significance for the bride, whose father is the owner! Thank you for these amazing shots, Kane,CY Photography.
Their first stop was Kwong Fook Wing, a famous tailor’s that has dressed British colonial administrators, royalty, Malaysian Cabinet ministers and senior civil servants in handmade bespoke suits over the past century. This is where the bride had grown up, plus she wanted her father’s legacy to feature prominently in her bridal portraits.
Their second location was the Jann Bar at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown, featuring the couple in formalwear. The photographer’s creative composition skills really come through here, and we especially like the lattice prints on the window sill and the iconic wraparound bar, floor and table.
For their third set of photos, the couple were asked to simply be themselves in a hotel room. Framed by the warm rays of sunshine that spilled in through the windows, they spent time together while the photographer deftly snapped away, capturing beautiful, emotional moments of intimacy. Finally, as a way of summing up the album, the couple also exchanged heartfelt letters that spoke of their feelings and appreciation for their relationship.
