After a picturesque engagement in Lake Como in 2023, this Malaysian-Dutch couple chose to begin their next chapter at Markree Castle, a 17th-century estate in the west of Ireland. With 100 guests travelling from across the globe, the celebration felt both intimate and meaningful—an elegant blend of heritage, culture, and shared traditions set against the charm of an Irish summer.

The bride wore a strapless ball gown with a structured bodice and full skirt, paired with a delicate veil and a bouquet of white blooms, creating a refined and timeless silhouette. The groom complemented her in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie. Bridesmaids in soft blush dresses added a gentle contrast, enhancing the romantic palette.

Markree Castle’s interiors set a dramatic tone, from its grand staircase adorned with cascading white florals and candlelight to ornate reception rooms framed by sage-grey walls, gilded details, and crystal chandeliers. The ceremony unfolded beneath stained glass windows, while the muted green hues of the interiors paired with warm lighting and historic woodwork to create a layered sense of depth and intimacy throughout.

From emotional vows to a lively courtyard dance under festoon lights and sparklers, the day balanced elegance with joy. The couple’s thoughtful incorporation of cultural elements through food and music made the celebration deeply personal.
