Contemporary Oriental Setting At Tao Chinese Cuisine, Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur

Of late, many young couples have been embracing their traditions and cultures, giving us the opportunity to feast our eyes on variations of the Oriental theme. Today we want to share something different. An Oriental theme doesn’t necessarily mean all red. Neither does it mean that you have to forgo trendy wedding ideas like calligraphy and clean fonts, modern stationery and gold elements.

The intimate lunch experience we recently had at Tao Chinese Cuisine at Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur gave us a good idea of how you can merge traditions with modern elements to create something contemporary. The Wedding Notebook, who firmly believes in pushing wedding boundaries, once again collaborated with Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur’s official florist, Spring Cottage, to achieve that modern mixed bunch that went so well with the table setup. The great thing about Tao Chinese Cuisine is that it’s extremely suitable for small, intimate weddings. With very minimal décor, anyone can create a beautiful setting. The dramatic lights above the room are great for creating the right mood. It’s time to do away with the stage for a cosier feel, and how about a six pax VIP table for both sets of parents or even the bridal party?
