We know the difference between a couple doing a destination wedding in a foreign land, and a couple in a familiar place filled with their stories and memories. There is a kind of connectedness to the place that can be seen in the photos.
Fennie and Halim are from Indonesia, but the couple chose to have their bridal portraits taken in Beijing because that’s where they first met, fell in love and decided to be together forever.
In the beginning, Fennie was annoyed with Halim for being so picky about their bridal portraits photographer. They went through many months of looking at different photographers, but never thought they’d have to settle with one from outside of Indonesia.
When they stumbled upon Metrophoto, however, they instantly fell in love with Oly’s work.
We like how they intentionally didn’t shoot on the Great Wall of China, but explored other locations in Beijing. We also like the extra touch of traditional Chinese theatrical makeup, which apparently was Fennie’s idea. It is beautiful.
