The breathtaking landscape of Tuscany was more than what this couple had expected, and they were right to keep their décor minimal. With just family and close friends present, it was a cosy wedding ceremony indeed. The bride chose pale pink to complement to the rustic venue, and the warm tones of taupe, pale pink and lush green were equal parts romantic and glamorous. Many thanks to Gianluca Adovasio Photography for this wonderful set of photos!
Nadia: “We were blessed to have our families and friends fly in from all parts of the world to witness our union. One of the most memorable moments was when my father walked me down the aisle. The moment I walked out of the villa and down the aisle, I saw Chester waiting at the end, crying like a baby.
“I’ve always dreamt of having an intimate wedding on grassland, which we can hardly find in Hong Kong. When I went through wedding blogs, I fell in love with Tuscany. I had travelled to Italy before and loved its landscape, people, food and culture, and I really wanted to share this with my family and friends on our big day.
“We found the Villa Rombolino online, and were attracted to its stunning panoramic view. We didn’t get to visit the villa before the wedding, but my wedding planner did a site visit and took pictures for me. The villa was so beautiful that everything was beyond my imagination.
“The wedding style that we went for was rustic glamour with a pale pink colour palette. We covered the table with lanterns filled with flowers. For the dinner reception, we hired a tent and decorated the tables with candelabras and roses to give it a glamorous touch. To match the rustic environment, I picked a blush mermaid cut wedding gown instead of a big ball gown, and changed into a silver gown with crystal embellishments for the dinner reception.”
Tips from the bride: “If you are planning a destination wedding, hire a wedding planner. It will make your life a lot easier. Also, ask what you and your fiancé want, not what others want. It’s your wedding after all, and it only happens once!”
