It was indeed an East-meets-West affair at Isabel Restaurant, a trendy French-inspired eatery in the heart of KL. Already filled with lush blooms and greenery, the chequered floors and rattan furniture added texture to the décor, so all the bride and groom had to bring were themselves, their loved ones, and a joyous celebration of their love! With small weddings becoming the norm due to Covid-19, it has become increasingly trendy to have your wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue. Many thanks to Andrew Yep Photographie for capturing these sweet photos.
Su Yin: “It was a joint effort from all to make this memorable event happen, as all my closest family and friends managed to fly back to attend our wedding amidst the pandemic. I’m so grateful to them all.
“Ours was a cosy, intimate East-meets-West wedding. We started with the traditional ‘yum cha’ ceremony, where I wore a cheongsam from my sister. Our reception was a casual luncheon with Southeast Asian food in a French-inspired restaurant. It was my dream wedding, and I cannot forget the professional photographers who managed to capture all the beautiful moments.”
