Justin and Bea are both from the Philippines, but fate brought them to find each other in Shanghai 10 years ago. Their Gin-themed wedding of Justin and Bea is nothing short of an event with quirky details carefully thought of. From the custom prints of the invites, to the immaculate styling of the event, outfits of the bride and groom that are one of a kind, and an absolutely uncommon wedding cake made of cheese wheel, every detail speaks personalisation at its best.
Their church ceremony in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel was filled with heaps of Gypsophilia intricately clustered to fill in every corner of the space, giving a lush and polished look into the beautiful venue with antique chandeliers hanging above. The couple wanted a classy and simple look so as to not overshadow the chapel. Adding on sparkles and fun to the ceremony were their Flower Boys making their entrance while tossing petals to the crowd as they made their way in. Bea’s bridesmaids dressed in matching hues of grey, sage and light blue, matching the bride’s elegant posy of perennial Anemones tucked in between other delicate floral.
Being in the F&B industry made them both share a mutual fondness towards food explorations as well as the art of mixology. Their love for cocktails inspired them to come up with this idea of incorporating fun elements of botanicals, gin bottles, and garnishes for the details of their wedding events. We absolutely adore their visuals as a couple that worked together closely combining ideas and inspirations to create their very own unique wedding experiences.
The couple visualised having their dream reception in a distillery abroad, to perfect the whole concept of this unique wedding theme. The travel restrictions shrouded their plans. However, when they discovered Hacienda Sta. Elena Community House in Laguna, the venue instantly ticked all of their boxes with all the combination of modern, industrial, and a little rustic look that matches their gin-themed wedding so well. The setup included Edison bulbs installations, dried orange garnishes for the finishing touches, and of course one of the highlights of the event itself; her custom-crafted cheese wheel cake. Guest tables were decorated with Snapdragons, Hydrangeas and Lisianthus in Dusty Blue, Sage Green, and Dove Grey, all popped into – you guessed it – gin bottles, from their very own collections.
