The wise bride is one who knows what matters and who does enough so that the venue doesn’t steal the limelight. With that heart-shaped arrangement anchoring the ceremony setup and the bridal table serving as the focal point of the evening reception, this wedding, beautifully captured by Ben Yew Photography, did everything just right.
Sammie: “We chose Alverstoke Homestead as our wedding venue because it was simple, elegant, and exactly what we were looking for to reflect our personalities. The venue is a heritage-listed barn with perfectly manicured lawns and gardens. The homestead has an old, classic character about it and is a timeless venue that we knew we would always appreciate and love for many years to come.”
Tips from the bride: “My advice is to be organised and not leave things until the last minute. Try and leave yourself with a month free before your wedding date to relax and enjoy the final days of your engagement. Try not to sweat the small stuff because things will go wrong (it’s the nature of the beast). The best way to overcome those situations is to have a team of vendors who are professional and experienced enough to be trusted to fix any problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
