There’s something so romantic about getting married by the sea, and it’s even better if you’re up on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The bride and groom of this wedding chose to build their wedding theme around the colour lavender, punctuated with wooden accents such as rattan pendant lights, oak chairs and wooden plates. The combination of grey, green and blush pink with lavender was beautiful and effortlessly elegant. Many thanks to Fire, Wood & Earth for this absolutely gorgeous set of photos!
Amelia: “We wanted our wedding to reflect our personalities, which is relaxed, fun, loving and romantic. Both William and I wanted a garden wedding with a breathtaking view, so we were lucky to be able to secure Pandawa Cliff Estate as our venue. As for the theme, I’d always loved the romantic, elegant yet slightly unrefined feel. Lavender was our main colour, so we matched that with grey, green and blush pink.
“For my hand bouquet, I requested that our decorator attach a locket of my beloved late father so I could have a feel of my father by my side during our beautiful day. As for my wedding dress, Phangsanny (the bridal designer) and I worked out designs where the train could be detached after the morning ceremony and the top could be changed for an evening look. It was a 2-in-1 dress, which was very beautifully embroidered and embellished, yet very comfortable and light to wear as I danced the night away during the reception. Our favours were quite special: it was cupcake soap with lavender (both in scent and colour) with the guests’ names written on a rock. Another favourite aspect of our wedding was my beloved nieces, who were dressed as our flowergirls in blush tulle dresses with green and pink embellishments, styled with baby’s breath floral crowns and pomanders.”
Tips from the bride: “Just enjoy every moment of your planning! If you have any dreams or wishes for your wedding, don’t be afraid to make it come true, as long as it stays within budget. Do your research well – I spent most of my time browsing Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration, and found vendors with good reviews.”
