About 280 guests gathered for the wedding of these two photographers, Mildred and Marlon. Decorated with beautiful vintage paraphernalia, the reception was everything the couple wanted – the perks of working in the wedding industry and having friends who understood exactly what they wanted for their wedding.
Mildred: “We wanted to have a very laidback wedding; something that’s not too formal and constricted. A bohemian wedding with a touch of vintage was outright perfect for our personalities. It’s a good thing working in the wedding industry has its perks. We were able to work not only with colleagues but people from the industry whom we already consider friends. Because of their genius, our ideas for our wedding were executed according to our vision. DIY ideas – reception styling, boutonnieres and floral head wreaths – were pulled off with the help of the creative minds of Cuckoo Cloud Concepts.
“The bridal gown was designed by Jerrick Macasocol. But I gave him pointers as to what I would like in my wedding gown. Like, I wanted a flowy bohemian gown made of off-white lace with an open back. It is actually a two-piece dress. The lower gown is actually a skirt that can be removed, with a short knee-length lace dress inside. I asked him to design it that way so I can still use the knee-length dress after the wedding.
“I designed the bridesmaids’ dresses myself, bought the materials, and had them made by a trusted local seamstress here in Cebu. I wanted the gowns to be flowy and easy to move in to maintain the bohemian vibe. I wanted different designs for each of them so they can still use the gowns after the wedding, without having to worry that someone else has the same dress. I went for soft, romantic neutral colours like peach, melon, beige, and cream.”
