Though we’ve seen Buddhist wedding ceremonies in Thailand before, this one is exceptionally gorgeous. Vera got to walk down that aisle with its beautiful floral arch at the end, just like any stunning destination wedding in Bali, but without sacrificing her religion. This is the beauty of understanding that religion isn’t only within the confines of a place of worship, but that it is part of one’s everyday life. Thanks, Snap Story Pictures, for this lovely story. We love your photography and videography work very much!
Verawati: “Everything went well. It’s hard to say which was the most memorable moment, but if I had to choose, I would go with my reception. Lots of people sang and danced for us, and it was one of the most memorable times of my life.
“Our basic theme colours were pink and white, and the unique thing about our wedding was that it was a Buddhist outdoor wedding, because Buddhists rarely hold their weddings outside the temple.”
Tips from the bride: “You will need to work well with your wedding planner, photographer, etc. to have a great wedding, but don’t just depend on them, prepare some of the other details yourself to make your wedding even better. And hire this Snap Story guy – I love his perspective in capturing weddings.”
