We like to believe that a lot of things in life are within our own control, yet it is the events beyond our control that make our stories so beautiful and worth sharing.
Joshua Chong Photography: “It was my first trip to Seoul and also my first overseas pre-wedding shoot. Initially, we planned to be there when the cherry blossoms were at their peak but somehow luck was not on our side. The temperature dropped a tad too soon and by the time we arrived almost all of the cherry blossom had fallen off, leaving only barren trees.
“Just as we had given up all hope of finding some cherry blossoms, we sort of bumped into the very last cherry blossom tree in Seoul, I think, with its flowers still in full bloom. I guess sometimes fate works in its own way, like how Wyvern met Ferlyn.
“Ferlyn got interested in building Gundam models, which led her to an online forum seeking advice and tips on model painting. Wyvern was in the same forum, and, having much experience with model building, decided to teach this newbie a thing or two about painting when no one else wanted to. From there, a friendship developed into love, and here we are, with the two of them deciding to spend the rest of their lives together. It was a privilege to be able to play a part in their story, albeit a small one. Blessing marriage, Ferlyn and Wyvern!”
