It is always inspiring for us to see lifelong wedding dreams come true. We love the elegance infused into this forest garden themed wedding at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, where family and friends from all over the world came together for a beautifully memorable evening. Thanks, Jon Low, for this set of photos!
“Right off the bat, I knew I wanted a very green wedding. If I had it my way, I would have had my wedding in a forest or a great, big garden, but with the humid weather in Malaysia, I knew it would not be ideal,” the bride shared.
“So I laid all my ideas down with my amazing wedding planner, Agnes from PREP, and we brought the garden indoors. I wanted lush greenery and white flowers with a touch of bohemian vibes. Agnes and her team transformed the place and both ballrooms into an absolutely stunning space for us.”
The couple chose the venue for its neutral colour palette and shape of the ballroom. “I like how the ballroom is shaped in such a way that the guests would be in close proximity to the main table and dance floor. I soon discovered that Hyatt was also able to deliver high quality food and accommodate our request to extend the after-party hours, which was special to our guests and us.
“It was also very important to us that the entire affair contained our personal touches as a couple, so I chose to DIY a few things for the wedding such as the guestbook, invitations, signage, photobooth backdrop, and the animated slideshow.”
Tips from the bride: “Constantly surround yourself with positive and supportive people during the wedding planning season. If possible, hire an amazing wedding planner to help assist you through the whole process and lift some of that ‘bridal burden’ off your shoulders. Do plan ahead and delegate some of the duties to your loving friends. Although it is easier said than done, try your best to get some shut eye the night before to avoid exhaustion on your big day. After the whole planning ordeal is over, kick back and enjoy your wedding.”
