Here’s yet another magical wedding in Bali that just took our breath away. We loved the raw charm of this celebration, and the exquisite venue, The Edge Bali, had everything to offer. Thanks for these amazing shots, Iluminen!
This couple desired a rustic outdoor wedding amidst nature, and Bali was an easy choice. They wanted a cliff-side venue that would allow the ocean and sky to meet, creating a beautiful blue tapestry, and The Edge Bali delivered exactly that.
Complementing nature’s hues with a beautiful dusty blue colour that featured in everything from the invitations to the napkins, the bride shared: “I’d never felt that many emotions in a day before; I was content, calm, happy, tearful, sad, surprised and overjoyed. I was surprisingly calm in the morning, which was unusual for the anxious person that I am, but I felt at peace knowing that I was making the best decision of my life.
“Our wedding was in September, which meant the rainy season in Bali. We dreamed of having an outdoor reception under a clear sky full of stars, and we were blessed with just that.” Guests showed up in white and beige, as requested, and here we see how great colour planning can make for some seriously gorgeous photographs.
Tips from the bride: “A difference of opinion between the bride, groom and families during the planning is inevitable. When that happens, pick your fights. If it is something that you think you can let go, then settle for it. Only put your foot down if it is something very meaningful to both you and your partner because it is, after all, a celebration of your happiest day. When it comes to inspiration, Pinterest has always been my best friend, especially in helping me to articulate my ideas.”
