It rained during this wedding but Terralogical did a perfect job – everything looked beautiful, just as the bride described it. In fact, the white umbrellas and the view overlooking those misty mountains made the wedding seem almost magical. Ricarda, the bride, revealed their three day wedding programme to us and showed us how they got so much quality time in at a destination wedding.
Ricarda: “Every little moment created a memory for life, and Erik and I felt truly loved by everyone. We don’t see our families and lifelong friends very often due to us living on the other side of the world. Seeing all of them show up for our special day, making the effort to travel and take time out of their busy lives, really felt amazing.
“Our wedding was a three day weekend affair in the jungle of Bali. All 46 rooms of the Uma by Como in Ubud were booked by our guests, which ensured that we all felt at home. We kicked off on Friday night with a welcome BBQ where everyone got to know each other. The ceremony was held on Saturday at the Puri Wulandari, and was followed by cocktails, the wedding dinner and dancing at the Uma.
“On Sunday we all had brunch together before we bid farewell to our guests from near and far. The event was absolutely magical; the stunning surroundings of Ubud, the tropical rainforest, the fantastic service of the hotel, and the amazing coordination and decorations by our wedding planner and vendors made the event an absolute fairytale.”
Tips from the bride: “Start planning early. Do it together, as it is more fun than one person taking overall charge. When the day comes enjoy every moment of it. This day is the most special day of your life and you will never get it back. Everyone has travelled from near and far to be with you and to celebrate you – it is the most amazing feeling. Don’t sweat the details and just take some time to step back with your husband and look at your beautiful guests and the setting from a distance. This picture will stay in your heart forever.”
