To have a truly blessed wedding day, a couple must start right at the beginning and seek only the things that matter. We see it here, in this couple’s tastefully and thoughtfully planned wedding that was held at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Singapore. With tall stained glass windows and white walled interiors, we couldn’t help but notice that when a venue is as rich and gorgeous as this, there is little need for further ornamentation. “We just wanted an intimate and relaxed setting,” shared the bride. “Not wanting to distract from the beauty of the church, we kept the décor simple with white and green tones. I wanted my bridal bouquet to stand out amongst the minimalistic décor so I picked anthuriums. I was fond of their heart shaped blooms! I also undertook a number of DIY projects, from designing all our signage and paper goods to doing the bridesmaids’ flowers.
“My favourite part was hosting a session for my girls at my home to create their own floral hoops and the groomsmen’s boutonnieres. We incorporated some of the faux flowers that I used for my late father’s niche, which felt meaningful to me. The results turned out prettier than expected – every hoop was different and unique to each of the girls.”
Tips from the bride: “Engage creative people whose work you love, then trust that they will do an amazing job. They have gone through countless weddings and will know how to make your day go smoothly and look beautiful. Give them a little direction and plenty of freedom. We couldn’t be more pleased with the team we assembled. We were such a last minute couple that we gave so little information and time to our vendors, but everything they produced still turned out well and beyond our expectations.”
