Bridal portraits in traditional Chinese wear need not be stiff and formal. You can absolutely inject a chic, carefree and refreshing feel to your shots, like this gorgeous couple did in the streets of Hong Kong. Thank you so much for these lovely pictures, Chester Kher Creations!
We love the bride’s red lip, beautiful midi ‘qipao’ with white and blue flowers, and hair that was pulled back into a bun. She looked amazing, natural and comfortable, which you really need to be if you’re going to be shooting outdoors. Her groom, meanwhile, was in a complementing ‘changpao’.
Besides traditional Chinese outfits, the couple also donned casualwear with a colour pop theme, and shot their portraits on the rooftop of apartments set against the spectacular Hong Kong skyline. It looks like they had an awesome time all right, and were rewarded with a set of bridal portraits that surely captured the splendour of their youth. We can only imagine how treasured these photos will be for their loved ones and the generations that come after them.
