When it comes to engagement portraits, keeping things simple and clean helps couples to focus on what’s important – their most treasured memories captured in stills that will be enjoyed for generations to come.
“We made it a point to agree on the bigger goal(s) beyond typical and superfluous wants and needs. In hindsight, what has always gotten us back on track in times of conflict or doubt is our desire to honour God and our parents,” said this couple. “We’ve always asked ourselves: does this glorify God and honour our parents? The answer to that question always helps us to decide on the next best step to take.”
To receate the memories that matter to them, the couple planned a day of photoshoots in Jason’s Food Hall, a Starbucks and a local park. The first venue was where Dansen first held Evelyn’s hand as they shopped for risotto ingredients – never mind that his plan to cook for her never materialised!
Starbucks was where they had deep conversations about their relationship, values and spiritual faith, and finally, as their relationship came to a crossroads, he proposed to her at a park – and she said yes! Many thanks to Cheryl Wong of MOCO: Capturing Life Moments for these meaningful shots.
