We love the exhilarating tempo of this unconventional wedding that was held at Wesley Methodist Church, Hotel Fort Canning and The Grand Marquee in Singapore. The lovely couple opted for just a wedding march in order to spend more time with their guests, showcase the special performances, and enjoy that which mattered the most. Thank you for these brilliant captures, AndroidsinBoots!
The bride shared: “My heart burst with joy when Joshua walked into the bridal room with his incredible Aquaman tattoos (they were very realistic stick-ons) and trident, right after the craziness of the gate-crashing ceremony. It was half hilarious and half emotional.
“As I walked down the aisle with my father, towards Joshua in his impeccable oatmeal suit, I was enthralled with his rendition of ‘Please Keep Loving Me’ by James TW, which he performed so flawlessly that many thought it was a recording. The feeling after we said ‘I do’ was indescribable yet altogether satisfying. We felt immensely relieved and thankful to have come this far, and to know that the moment had finally arrived after all the waiting and preparation.”
Unforgettable speeches, cake cutting, the newlyweds’ highly anticipated first dance and a series of surprise performances were among the day’s highlights. To end the evening, the boys delighted the guests with a zany Yum Seng toast with helium balloons.
There was a special reason behind the couple’s choice of autumn colours for their wedding décor. “We go through many seasons in life, but our love for God and nature are our constants,” they shared. “Fall inspires us to choose thankfulness in every season, even when the tangible things in life fade away. The season’s brilliance brings forth joy, reminding us of what we choose to be rooted in as a couple.”
Tips from the bride: “It is never too early to start your research. Once you have made your decision, stop comparing and don’t look back! Here is a useful link on Pinterest and my Instagram.
