‘Be My Bridesmaids’ Boxes DIY Tutorial

Bridesmaids Boxes are a really nice gesture to appreciate your bride squad for being there for you in the past year of wedding planning and your big day. You can easily make this a DIY project, alternatively purchase a gift set. Add personalised notes to make it extra special.

To get started on this DIY project, gather your materials, you’ll need:

* Wooden boxes (Look in Shopee, Daiso, or Kaison)
* ‘Be My Bridesmaid?’ cards
* Gifts for your bridesmaids
* Colour charts
* Moodboards in photos
* Ribbons

STEP 1
Gather your materials. Finding these boxes can be quite a task – try art supply shops, shop, Daiso, or Kaison. Chances are you won’t find a similarly size box, therefore make sure you find gifts that fit inside them. For these we included notepads and Crabtree & Evelyn hand lotions.

STEP 2
Source good quality images that you can print out as a kind of moodboard to help your bridesmaids envision your wedding. To get technical, image resolutions should be 300dpi of your actual print size. For these we added Polaroid frames to complete the desired look.

STEP 3
Fill the box with punched-out coloured paper in the shades of your wedding theme colour. You can get punchers in various sizes from art and craft shops or a smaller version for a fraction of the price from Daiso. The ‘Be My Bridesmaid?’ cards were designed with a watercolour textured background on Canva and printed on thicker stock paper.

STEP 4
Pen out your personalised message toe each and every one. A great idea is to include photos of the two of you from the past. What a great way to look back on your friendship and appreciate them in a personal manner.

STEP 5
Ensemble everything and complete the look with a large bow-tied ribbon.
