It is rare, very rare to have a bride tell us, “I didn’t want to make my wedding ‘something special’.” But when she began to explain, we understood why. Kimiyo didn’t want a wedding that just wow-ed and impressed people, she wanted a moment shared with her loved ones. That’s truly beautiful and we would love to see more weddings like this, because it’s heartbreaking when weddings become little more than just a show. Thanks, Evermotion, for capturing this amazing couple!
Kimiyo: “I wanted it to feel very natural, as if we were in our home and had the ceremony in our own backyard. I shared my vision with my wedding planner and they understood what I wanted, so I left it up to them to execute it. We loved the reception! Its decorations, atmosphere and the smile on everyone’s faces – it was a heartwarming party.”
“My head accessory was an antique from the 1930’s, and my earrings and bracelet were antiques from the 1960’s. The necklace’s pendant is an Indonesian handmade silver accessory.”
