Check out this beautiful wedding album that was shot at Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort, Thailand. The couple’s theme was based on three words: fun, intimate and whimsical. They set out to create their desired ambience – a rustic, relaxed and magical set-up surrounded by trees on the beach and enhanced by fairy lights. The theme colours of white, champagne, blue, shale, rose gold, burgundy and brown complemented the guests’ dress code of navy blue and white, and the bridal party’s shades of sky blue and lily green.
The bridesmaids’ flowers were artificial flowers that were created by Beatrice’s bridesmaid, Elanna, and her mum, Silvia. This allowed the couple to use the flowers for wedding celebrations in both Thailand and Malaysia, and also keep the flowers as a memento. Could a wedding get any better? Thank you for these lovely pictures, Louis Loo Photography, and congrats to The Wedding Bliss Thailand for pulling off such a romantic wedding!
The groom shared: “We have cherished memories of the anticipation that we felt when all our guests were seated, and my bride finally walked down the aisle with her father. It was a rather long walk, as they had to hide from the crowd. The holding area was actually the swimming pool compound so there was plenty of cheers and applause from the other hotel guests.”
The bride recalled that the groom had tears in his eyes when she said her vows. For a personal touch, they wrote personalised postcards to their guests to thank them for their love and presence. The custom-made postcard was a miniature portrait of the couple that was illustrated by the bride’s high school friend, Hazel Tan from @hermagicbrush. They also donated the wedding favours budget to the Malaysia Cancer Society in honour of the bride’s maternal grandmother.
Wanting a destination wedding on the beach, the couple decided on Thailand for its proximity to Malaysia. They were set on having both their ceremony and reception on the sand, and eventually found Dusit Thani in Krabi with the help of their wedding planner, The Wedding Bliss Thailand.
Tips from the bride: “Instagram and Pinterest were my favourite go-to sources for ideas and inspiration. Canva is a great website for simple designs of invitations and programmes. Communicate and share your ideas and vision with your planner and vendors. Find vendors that you are comfortable working with, it is important that everyone involved is on the journey together.”
