Garovs majored in Fashion Design & Merchandising in university, while Ryan in Multimedia Arts. The both of them own Everywhere We Shoot, whose work has been in most major magazines in the country and even abroad. Having seen their bridal portraits and infographics invitations, you must be wondering, how creative can they get in a traditional church wedding?
Well, how could it not be creative when some of Manila’s most talented creative people were involved? The thing we love most about this wedding isn’t that it’s so out of the norm, but that this couple knew who they were and kept to it.
If you strip everything away and look closely at the wedding highlights, you will see the way Ryan looked at his bride as she walked down the aisle, and realise this is no different from other weddings – they are a couple who love each other dearly and that is all that matters.
Garovs said, “The most joyful moment was walking down the aisle and seeing our family and friends crying, smiling, laughing!”
As for their wedding concept, she said, “We wanted our wedding styling to look like an altar of our life together, as if we’d died and were born again. With this in mind, we opted not to have flowers, but have our guests and entourage wear florals and graphics. Our church aisle was like a walk in the clouds, and our venue was styled as if you were going through a blur of memories, then later getting washed away into our all-white dinner area.
“We are thankful that our suppliers understood what we wanted and executed everything beautifully and seamlessly. Enjoy the planning, and leave the rest to the experts. On your wedding day all you will see are the faces of your friends and family!”
‘Everywhere We Wed: An Anti-Wedding Film’ is not for the faint of heart. As the film faded out, Raimund Marasigan of Sandwich played the first bars of Cure’s ‘Pictures of You’, and the guests welcomed the entrance of the newlyweds.
