Couples who want an outdoor wedding but need the comfort of air-conditioning would do well to host it at Glasshouse at Seputeh. From its high ceilings and tall black windowpanes to the brick walls and concrete finishings, the venue has just the right décor for a garden theme, and provides a refreshing change from the conventional ballroom setup.
For Charley and Reugene, they also included items to replicate the night they first met, as well as food stations serving decadent entrées, desserts and a wide assortment of cheeses. Surrounded by family and friends, their wedding was everything they had envisioned, and their priority of people over matter was surely evident. Many thanks to Chester Kher Creations for these fantastic shots!
“We first got together on a garden swing over a decade ago at a friend’s party,” revealed Charley, “so the garden, the swing and lights were sort of a reenactment of that night. At our reception, we just soaked up the sight of everyone before us – these are people who have marked our lives, grown with us, and who will continue to watch our story unfold.”
Tips from the bride: “Talk to your friends who have gone before you; they’re always more than happy to share ideas, tips and tricks. Be honest and open with your parents about how you visualise your wedding to be. Lastly, keep it simple, don’t rush through your agenda, and very importantly, trust your bridal party!”
